A native wildflower mix that bees will just love! This carefully selected seed mix is designed to attract honey bees, bumblebees and solitary bees.

Each tin contains 20 seed balls, each ball containing approximately 30 bee-friendly seeds from a mix of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram – all recommended as bee-friendly plants by RHS plants for pollinators.

One tin of seed bombs will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or use 3-5 balls for a pot or container (leave at least 10cm between each ball).

Best scattered in Spring or Autumn. 

Easy to establish, simply throw onto bare soil and keep moist! A perfect way to add instant impact to any area! 

 

 Birdsfoot Trefoil

Birdsfoot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)

A perennial with clusters of yellow/orange pea like leaves.
Height: 15-25cm
Flowers: May to October
Common bird's-foot-trefoil is a member of the pea family. Its yellow flowers look like little slippers and appear in small clusters.

Wild Marjoram (Origanum vulgare)

Aromatic perennial with dark purple buds and pinkish purple flowers.
Height: 30-60cm
Flowers: April to November
Wild marjoram is actually the same aromatic herb as oregano which is used in Mediterranean cooking

Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

A tall biennial with pink and purple flowers on spikes.
Height: 60-150cm
Flowers: June to September
Toxicity: Poisonous if eaten

Red Clover (Trifolium pratense)

Perennial with trefoil leaves and pinky red flowers. Good weed suppressor.
Height: 10-45cm
Flowers: May to September
Traditionally an element of hay meadows where it fixes nitrogen in its roots.

Vipers Bugloss (Echium Vulgare)

A tall biennial with incredibly blue flowers emerging from pink buds.
Height: 30-90cm
Flowers: June to September
Toxicity: Skin irritant. Wear gloves and other protective equipment when handling
